Leather and Vinyl Panel Restoration

Panel restoration includes the restoration of a section of leather or vinyl that has become worn over time. This can occur on everything from car seats, leather sofas, boat seats, aircraft seats, bar stools and all kinds of other leather furniture. Wearing is something that is quite common with protected leather where the protected surface has had excessive use and has lost its coated surface.

Wearing and worn leather or vinyl can be easily rectified depending on the type of leather it is. It is much easier to repair the surface of protected leather but if the leather is Aniline, Natural or Nubuck the repair is a lot harder to deal with.

What will we do?

Worn leather or vinyl can include everything from just a slight loss of colour to cracking, splits and even holes. All of these things can be rectified and the repair really depends on the type of damage. If there is just colour loss to the item it can usually be solved by simply restoring the surface by re-colouring the item.

If cracks have started to appear then we will be repair the damage, secure it and then re-colour the area providing a permanent repair that looks like new.

How long will it take?

The time it will take would depend on the type of damage but most things can normally be treated within two to three hours. Repairs are not something that can be rushed so please allow more time if possible.

What will the repair look like?

The repair will look very much like new.

How long will the repair last?

The products we use are tried and tested and repairs will wear in the same way as the rest of the item.

How much will it cost?

£45 - £185 (per panel).

What would we need?

For this type of repair we would simply need power and enough room to work. For insurance purposes we are unable to undertake repairs on main roads or busy areas. We can also provide a temporary shelter if it is raining in most circumstances.
